Man Arrested After Fleeing Deputies While Serving Mental Health Warrant in West San Antonio

Alan Inchaurregui

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A man was arrested after fleeing deputies who were attempting to serve a mental health warrant on San Antonio’s far west side.

On March 19, 2026, Bexar County Precinct 2 deputy constables responded to the 12000 block of Prude Ranch near Culebra Road to serve a mental health warrant and a writ of possession.

When deputies attempted to make contact, the suspect, identified as Alan Inchaurregui, fled in his vehicle, leading officers on a short pursuit.

During the chase, authorities said Inchaurregui drove over a sidewalk and through a neighbor’s yard. At one point, a Precinct 2 investigator had to take evasive action to avoid a potential head-on collision.

Deputies were eventually able to block in the vehicle and take Inchaurregui into custody without further incident.

A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm pistol on the front passenger floorboard. Investigators believe the firearm fell during the pursuit and was not accessible to the suspect afterward.

Inchaurregui was arrested and charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and the outstanding mental health warrant.
