San Antonio, TX — A man was arrested late Thursday night after authorities say he shot another person during a confrontation in the Frost Bank Center parking lot.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported shooting around 11:00 p.m. on March 5, 2026.

Investigators determined that 47-year-old Isaac Anthony Jimenez was backing his truck out of a parking space when he struck a parked SUV.

Authorities said Jimenez attempted to leave the area but was confronted by a male witness, which led to a verbal dispute.

During the argument, investigators say Jimenez pulled out a 9mm handgun and fired multiple rounds, striking the victim twice in the shoulder.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition, according to deputies.

Jimenez was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Following the incident, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office reminded residents to prioritize their safety when witnessing criminal activity.

Officials advised community members to avoid direct confrontation, observe and document incidents from a safe distance, and provide information such as vehicle descriptions and license plate numbers when possible.

Authorities also noted that video recordings can be valuable evidence if captured safely.

The sheriff’s office said it will increase its security presence at the Frost Bank Center to help ensure a safe environment for visitors and attendees.
