SAN ANTONIO, Texas - San Antonio Police say two suspects are now in custody following a deadly shooting that left two men dead outside a hookah lounge earlier this week.
The double homicide occurred on Wednesday, February 18, outside Myst Hookah Lounge near Loop 1604 and Lockhill Selma Road in San Antonio.
According to investigators, an argument broke out inside the lounge involving one of the suspects, identified as Amador, who was subsequently asked to leave the establishment. A short time later, police say the suspects drove past the business and opened fire toward people gathered on the outdoor patio.
Two men, identified as 27-year-old Derek Deshaun Brown and 50-year-old Kyung Lee, were struck by gunfire and killed in the attack.
San Antonio Police confirmed that both suspects were taken into custody on Friday, February 20.
Authorities credited the department’s Homicide Unit for leading the investigation, along with assistance from the Covert Unit, Street Crimes Unit, K-9 Unit, and Eagle Unit in locating and apprehending the suspects.
The investigation remains ongoing.
