BOERNE, TX — A 51-year-old over-the-road truck driver will spend the next four decades in state prison following a sentencing hearing on Friday, February 20, 2026. Toby Leer Beaumont, of Boerne, was sentenced to 40 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the possession of massive quantities of child pornography.
The sentence, handed down by Judge Kirsten Cohoon in the 451st Judicial District Court, follows Beaumont's guilty plea to a first-degree felony.
The investigation into Beaumont began in June 2024 after the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office received a tip regarding his online activities. Detectives Amanda Meyer and Kassandra Ramirez spearheaded a probe that spanned both Beaumont’s local life and his professional career:
Dual Search Warrants: Authorities executed warrants at Beaumont’s Boerne residence and inside the 18-wheeler truck he operated as a long-haul driver.
The Admission: During police interviews, Beaumont reportedly admitted to a "long-standing addiction," confessing that he had been actively viewing and collecting child pornography for at least 10 years.
Forensic Evidence: Digital analysts uncovered more than 500 images and videos across several devices. Prosecutors noted that the files depicted victims as young as toddlers.
Before imposing the 40-year term, Judge Cohoon heard testimony from Investigator Amanda Meyer and Adult Probation Officer Mario Paredes. The court also reviewed a comprehensive pre-sentence investigative report detailing the depth of Beaumont’s digital library and his history of consumption.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant Criminal District Attorney Andrew Fields.
