BOERNE, Texas - Eduardo De Jesus Pineda Quinonez, 35, a citizen of Guatemala, was sentenced to a total of 70 years in state prison after pleading guilty to charges of child exploitation and abuse.
The sentencing was handed down by the Honorable Kirsten Cohoon in the 451st District Court on November 20, 2025:
50 years for Possession of Child Pornography
20 years for Indecency with a Child
The sentences will run concurrently. Upon completion of his prison sentence, Quinonez is expected to be released to the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The case began after an 8-year-old victim disclosed abuse to the San Antonio Police Department, which forwarded the report to the Boerne Police Department.
Abuse: The incident was determined to have occurred on May 27, 2024, at the Shady Rest trailer park and involved sexual contact between Quinonez and the victim.
Child Pornography: During the investigation, Boerne Police Detective James Vela discovered a video containing child pornography in Quinonez's possession and was able to identify the child depicted.
Distribution: A subsequent forensic search of Quinonez's cell phone revealed that he had distributed the video to a group chat with eight other individuals, and additional images of child pornography were found on the device.
The recommended sentence of 50 and 20 years came from the Kendall County District Attorney’s Office and Adult Probation Officer Jake Meadows. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Andrew Fields.
