The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 2-year-old Sherlock Vasile Jones, who is believed to be with his non-custodial mother, 34-year-old Jewel Ashley Jones.

Sherlock was last seen in August 2025 in Buda, Texas. He is described as a white male with fair skin, brown eyes, and blonde hair, approximately 3 feet tall and weighing 39 pounds. His mother, Jewel, is described as a white female, 5’8”, 120 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair.

Authorities say Jewel Jones currently has an active warrant out of Hays County for Interference with Child Custody (Felony). Investigators believe she may be in the Marble Falls area or possibly outside of Texas.
