Seguin, TX – On August 26, 2025, the Seguin Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) arrested 38-year-old Anthony Torres in connection with an aggravated assault case that left a local man seriously injured.
The incident occurred on August 8, 2025, when officers were dispatched to 405 W. Court Street (Varsity) for reports of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, patrol officers observed multiple vehicles leaving the scene and made contact with the 48-year-old victim.
Through their initial investigation, officers developed information identifying a suspect. Working closely with CID, investigators secured a warrant for Torres’ arrest.
Police officials credited strong teamwork between Patrol and CID units for successfully bringing the case to a close.
