The Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department is thanking the multiple agencies and civilians who assisted in the response to a vehicle wreck on Saturday, August 23.
The fire department released a statement acknowledging the "many spokes in the wheel that resulted in a better outcome" for the incident. The statement specifically praised citizens who not only called 911 but also stopped to help the injured before emergency crews arrived.
The department also extended its gratitude to several public service organizations, including:
Bandera Dispatch, for quickly dispatching all necessary resources.
Bandera EMS and Supervisor Dave Hulsey for bringing a "calm during the storm."
Bandera Fire, who responded to assist.
The Bandera Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety, for managing the scene.
Bexar County ESD 7 and Medina County ESD, for providing additional ambulance and engine support.
Air Evac, for transporting a patient via helicopter.
TXDOT, for cleanup of engine fluids on the highway.
MCW and Fat Boy Towing, for removing the wrecked vehicles.
The department emphasized that the cooperative effort between concerned citizens and multiple agencies was crucial, concluding, "It takes a village sometimes."
