SAN ANTONIO, TX – San Antonio Police Officer Paul Fencik, a veteran of 18 years, has been arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on July 31, 2025. Following the arrest, he was placed on administrative duty.
“I am deeply disappointed that an officer would choose to drink and drive, endangering the very community we are sworn to protect,” said SAPD Chief William McManus. “This behavior represents a clear violation of the public’s trust, and the standards of conduct expected from those in our Department.”
Officer Fencik is assigned to SAPD South Patrol. The San Antonio Police Department is conducting both criminal and administrative investigations into the incident. Chief McManus has requested that the investigation be expedited to initiate prompt termination proceedings.
