Original Post:

Kendall County officials have confirmed one fatality and ongoing rescue and recovery efforts following severe flooding that impacted the region on July 4, 2025. While the county has avoided catastrophic losses seen in neighboring areas, emergency management operations remain active by air, boat, and ground.

Kendall County Judge Shane Stolarczyk and Emergency Management Coordinator Brady Constantine issued a Disaster Declaration, enabling the activation of additional recovery protocols under the county’s emergency management plan.

Road barricades remain in place as crews inspect infrastructure for damage caused by the high volume of water. Officials urge the public not to bypass barricades, as safety assessments are ongoing.

“We extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to our neighboring counties impacted by the flooding,” stated Judge Stolarczyk. “Kendall County stands ready to assist during this time of need.”

Agencies involved in the response include Kendall County fire departments, law enforcement, EMS, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Game Wardens, the Texas Division of Emergency Management, and numerous volunteers and local partners.
