Former Judson ISD Teacher Sentenced to 60 Years for Continuous Child Sexual Abuse

Ryan England

Ryan England, a former first-grade teacher at Judson ISD, has been sentenced to 60 years in prison without the possibility of parole by 379th District Court Judge Ron Rangel, following his conviction for continuous sexual abuse of young children.

On April 24, 2025, a jury found England guilty of inappropriate and unlawful behavior. Evidence presented showed that England inappropriately touched four of his first-grade students on their genitals, both during class and after school. The abuse reportedly continued even after the students advanced to second grade, when England would pull them from Adventure Club under the guise of tutoring.

In addition to the lengthy prison sentence, England was ordered to pay restitution to the victims. He will also be ineligible to receive his Teacher Retirement System's annuity.

Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales commented on the verdict, stating, "Today's verdict is a reminder of the importance of vigilance and support in safeguarding our children. Our mission will always be to create a safer environment for our children by holding those who choose to exploit them accountable."

The case proceedings were led by Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Andrea Nicole Crespo and Samantha Lynn Brown of the Bexar County District Attorney's Public Integrity and Civil Rights Division. They were supported by Victim Advocate Norma Alatorre and Investigator Gregg DeHoyos.
