A San Antonio man was arrested Sunday on charges related to two armored truck robberies that occurred in 2023.
Achanti Christopher Tyrese Gunn, 25, also known as Bonzi, allegedly conspired with three co-conspirators to rob armored trucks at gunpoint, stealing U.S. currency and other items before fleeing in a getaway vehicle.
Gunn was indicted on May 7 and arrested on June 8. He faces charges including conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery, Hobbs Act robbery, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years on the conspiracy and robbery charges and seven years to life on the firearm charge, to be served consecutively.
Co-defendants Daquwan Reshay Richardson, 30; Jeremiah Jerome Richardson, 22, aka Juice; and Jordan Raekwon Jones, 30, aka Murda Maxx, are already in custody. They were arrested between July 2023 and November 2024 and face similar charges.
The case is being investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the San Antonio Police Department. U.S. Attorney Justin Simmons for the Western District of Texas announced the arrest. Assistant U.S. Attorney Brian Nowinski is prosecuting the case.
