On Thursday, June 12, 2025, the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department responded to a rollover crash on Texas Highway 55, approximately 13 miles north of Uvalde in Uvalde County. The crash was reported at 8:32 a.m.

Upon arrival, first responders found that both male occupants of the vehicle had safely exited. The pickup truck, which had been towing a tandem axle intended for semi-trucks, lost control and rolled over, coming to rest against the guardrail. The tandem axles were dislodged and landed in a nearby creekbed.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. Traffic on Texas Highway 55 was temporarily reduced to one lane while first responders worked to secure the scene and clear the roadway.
