Suspected Burglar Held at Gunpoint by Homeowners Until Deputies Arrive in Seguin

Steven Demond Davis

A suspected burglar was held at gunpoint by homeowners until Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) deputies arrived, following an alleged burglary in the 4000 block of Alternate 90 in Seguin on May 26.

Upon deputies' arrival, they determined that Steven Demond Davis of Gonzales, TX, had entered the residence without the owner’s consent. The homeowners reported finding Davis inside their home and holding him at gunpoint until law enforcement could respond. After securing the residence, deputies confirmed that Davis was alone.

Davis was arrested and transported to the Guadalupe County Jail, charged with one count of Burglary of a Habitation. His bond was set at $50,000.

Sheriff Ray issued a strong warning to potential offenders: “Criminals should know clearly that if you choose to break into someone’s home in Guadalupe County, you may likely be met with the barrel of a gun. You have been warned.”
