While en route to serve a civil document last week, Bexar County Precinct 4 Constable Deputy R. Villaflor was the first to witness and respond to a major two-vehicle collision.

Deputy Villaflor immediately stopped to render aid and requested additional units after discovering a driver and passenger trapped inside one of the vehicles. Both individuals were later confirmed deceased at the scene.

Despite the severity of the situation, Deputy Villaflor remained calm under pressure and acted swiftly and decisively.

Deputies secured the area, allowing San Antonio Police and Fire Departments to assume control of the fatality and investigation. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

Responding deputies included Corporal Delgado, Deputy Perez, Deputy Hardwick, Deputy Ward, Deputy Aracely, and Deputy Tamayo.

"We extend our heartfelt prayers to the victims who lost their lives in this tragic accident, and to their families and loved ones during this time of profound loss," said the Bexar County Precinct 4 Constable in a statement.
