A 31-year-old man from Jourdanton was arrested on Thursday, May 1, 2025, after he was found in possession of a stolen vehicle at the Pleasant Perk Coffee House drive-thru.
Around 12:00 p.m., Pleasanton Police Officer Phillips was patrolling the 1500 block of W Oaklawn Road when he identified a gray Ford F-250 previously reported stolen to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office. Officer Phillips monitored the vehicle and called for backup.
As the suspect entered the coffee shop drive-thru, multiple patrol units arrived and coordinated to block the vehicle within the parking lot, preventing an escape attempt.
The male suspect was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Atascosa County Jail and is facing charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Authorities thanked 81st District Attorney Investigator Kaufman and his K9 partner for their assistance in the arrest.
