The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) has issued a six-month emergency closure order, effective April 22, for a massage establishment in San Antonio due to suspected human trafficking.

The order applies to Guixan Han and Golden Phoenix Holdings LLC, the owner/operator of Sweetness Spa, a/k/a QQ Spa, a/k/a Wang’s Spa, located at 12255 West Ave., Suite 104 and 105. The order prohibits operations at the establishment, and the operation of a different massage establishment at the same location.

The TDLR received a complaint alleging potential human trafficking at the location, along with screenshots of images and videos of sexual encounters from an online chat group.

A TDLR investigation revealed several unlicensed employees, some of whom fled the building during the site visit. Investigators found a customer without clothing, who also fled the scene, and also found indicators of potential human trafficking, including lingerie and excessive security cameras.
