Construction of a 53,000-square-foot Buc-ee's travel center has commenced in Boerne, Texas, at the intersection of Interstate 10 and U.S. 87. The project, initially announced in 2016, is finally underway, with initial site work including grading and infrastructure development in progress. Crews are currently focusing on establishing Buc-ee's Way, a dedicated roadway to the store.

While no vertical structures are yet visible, the store is anticipated to open in 2026. The project has experienced several delays since its initial announcement, with original plans targeting a 2018 construction start and a 2019 opening.

Current activities involve site grading, infrastructure development, and utility work for the 53,471-square-foot store. City officials estimate that the store could open within 16 to 18 months from the start of initial site work, placing the potential opening around mid-to-late 2026.
