Kyle Police Apprehend Lockhart Shooting Person of Interest After Pursuit

Last night, Kyle Police Department officers located 22-year-old John Marquise Hall driving through Kyle. Hall was a person of interest in a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, April 23rd in Lockhart and also had active warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon from a 2024 incident.

When officers attempted to stop Hall for the warrants, he fled, lost control of his vehicle, and ran into a wooded area near the 1400 block of Bunton Creek Road.

Deputies from the Hays County Sheriff's Office, officers from the Buda Police Department, and troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety - Central Texas Region responded to assist in the search. Hall was quickly located barricaded inside a building, where he surrendered without incident and was taken into custody by Kyle Police officers.

The Kyle Police Department expressed gratitude for the efforts and collaboration of the Lockhart Police Department and neighboring law enforcement agencies in ensuring community safety.
