The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred in Bandera County on Thursday afternoon.
According to DPS, the crash happened around 2 p.m. on State Highway 16 South near Purple Sage Road, across from the Bandera Landing Strip. A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2019 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by Bandera County Commissioner Troy Konvicka, was traveling southbound on SH-16 when a 1999 Toyota Tacoma pulled onto the roadway from a private driveway and collided with the truck.
DPS has confirmed that the driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
