The Schertz Police Department has arrested 26-year-old Troy Ross of Schertz following an investigation into a suspicious injury to a child reported on February 26, 2025.
At approximately 6:55 P.M. on February 26th, Schertz Police received a report from medical personnel at North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio regarding a potentially suspicious injury to a child that occurred at a residence in the 4500 Block of Union Creek in Schertz, Guadalupe County, TX.
Schertz PD Detectives responded to the hospital and initiated an investigation after speaking with the child's parents. Throughout the investigation, detectives worked in collaboration with the Department of Family Services Children’s Division, The Children’s Center for Miracles, Guadalupe County Children’s Advocacy Center, and various medical professionals. Based on the evidence gathered, investigators concluded that the child’s injuries were the result of abuse.
On April 15, 2025, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Troy Ross. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Guadalupe County Jail on the charge of “Injury to a Child, Elderly, Disabled, Reckless Serious Bodily Injury /Mental,” a Second-Degree Felony. Bond has not yet been set for Ross, who will remain in custody until his Magistration hearing, scheduled for April 16, 2025. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
