On February 27th, 2025, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), executed simultaneous search warrants in Austin, TX and the 16000 block of FM 86 in Dale, TX. The investigation led to the arrest of Richard Calvin Seghetti, who faces multiple charges, including Delivery of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Money Laundering.

Additionally, Rosalba Padron was arrested for Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair.

Sheriff Mike Lane expressed gratitude to all members of the Sheriff's Office who supported the federal partners in this ongoing investigation. Additional charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.
