16-Year-Old Murder Suspect Arrested in Austin Following Fatal Shooting at East Bexar County Party

On December 30, 2024, a 16-year-old male murder suspect was arrested on charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The arrest was made with assistance from the Austin Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Onion Creek Parkway in Austin, Texas.

The charges stem from a December 8, 2024, shooting in East Bexar County. Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) responded to reports of gunfire at a residence in the 10400 block of Loop 106. Upon arrival, deputies found two juveniles with gunshot wounds. A 15-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 17-year-old female was transported to the hospital and later recovered.

The incident occurred during a party hosted by friends of the victims. Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored Dodge Charger stop in front of the residence, after which several individuals approached the vehicle. Gunfire erupted moments later, striking the two victims.

Investigators identified the suspect during their inquiry and located him in Austin. He was taken into custody without incident and is currently detained at the Hays County Juvenile Detention Center, awaiting extradition to Bexar County.
