On Friday, May 31, 2023, authorities responded to two separate burglary incidents in Fredericksburg.
In the first incident, a complainant reported a burglary at a residence on Dee Street. The incident, believed to have occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29th, involved the theft of a bank bag from an RV trailer. Additionally, the complainant noted that their car was tampered with, although nothing was taken from it. Investigation into this burglary is ongoing.
Later that same evening, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 1600 block of West Live Oak following a report of a burglary. The homeowner discovered a cut window screen and an open window, indicating forced entry. It was determined that the burglary took place between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm on the same day. The only item reported missing was a medication organizer containing various medications, including Hydrocodone. No other belongings were taken from the residence.
