On May 15, 2024, the Comal County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Jesse Thomas Orta of San Antonio during a traffic stop. The arrest led to the seizure of 368 grams of methamphetamine and two handguns.
Orta, who also had an outstanding traffic warrant from Bexar County, is currently held at Comal County Jail. He faces charges including two counts of Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon with felony convictions, Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 < 28G, and Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 > = 200G < 400G. The total bond amount set is $103,000.
