Selma Police Department initiated a pursuit today at approximately 10:20 a.m., leading to the arrest of three suspects in Cibolo city limits. The pursuit ended near Springtree Gate and Springtree Shadow, where the suspects fled on foot. With the assistance of K9 units from Schertz and Selma Police Departments, as well as drone units from Schertz and Cibolo Police Departments, all three suspects were apprehended and taken into custody.
As a precautionary measure, Schlather Intermediate was placed on a secure status during the incident, which was later lifted once the situation was resolved. A secure status is implemented when there is a potential threat or hazard outside of the school building. During this time, all external access points are secured while classes continue inside as usual.
