On Monday, May 6, 2024, 31-year-old Daymein Garcia was captured by Travis County authorities. Garcia had been wanted in San Antonio for serious bodily injury to an elderly person.
Garcia was caught on video on January 27, 2024, throwing an 81-year-old man down an escalator at North Star Mall, causing serious injuries.
Police detectives, with the support of the city, diligently pursued the suspect. Garcia is currently held at Travis County jail, awaiting extradition to Bexar County jail.
