Jacob’s Well Suspends 2024 Summer Swimming Due to Low Water Levels

Jacob’s Well Natural Area, located in Hays County, has announced the suspension of its 2024 summer swimming season until further notice. Typically running from May 1 to September 30 each year, the decision comes as a result of below-average spring flow and water levels.

Hays County officials have stated their intention to reassess water conditions on a monthly basis to determine the feasibility of reopening swimming activities at a later date.
