Fatal Stabbing Prompts Murder Investigation in Central El Paso

The El Paso Police Department's Crimes Against Persons unit is currently conducting a murder investigation following an incident on the 2900 block of Porter Ave. in Central El Paso.

On March 11th, at approximately 4:15 in the afternoon, officers from the Central Regional Command Center responded to a reported stabbing in an alleyway. Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified man suffering from life-threatening stab wounds.

The perpetrator, identified as 58-year-old Oscar Guzman Jr., was located at the intersection of Grant and Piedras by investigators. Preliminary findings suggest that the incident originated from a verbal argument that escalated into a fatal stabbing.

The victim was transported by FMS to University Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The investigation into this tragic event is ongoing.
