Suspect in San Antonio Murder Case Arrested After Turning Himself In

The San Antonio Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a murder that occurred on February 29. The incident took place on the stairwell near a workplace in the 6900 block of Northeast Loop 410, where a man was shot and killed. Video surveillance revealed two suspects approaching the victim in an apparent robbery attempt. One suspect grabbed the victim from behind and pointed a gun at his head, leading to a struggle during which both suspects opened fire on the victim.

One of the suspects turned himself in without issue, while the other fled the city. Media outlets had been warning the public about the wanted suspect since the incident.

On Thursday, March 21, 2024, 21-year-old Ju Von William Phillips turned himself in to authorities. With the assistance of the US Marshal Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and SAPD Covert Unit, Phillips was taken into custody for Capital Murder charges.
