Drug Bust at Garcia Park Leads to Arrests and Seizure of Narcotics and Cash

On March 8, 2024, deputies responded to an incident at 1200 N. Frio, also known as Garcia Park. Ervin McFerrin was spotted conducting what appeared to be narcotics transactions while seated on a bench at the location, according to deputies.

Accompanying McFerrin was Roslyn MacGregor, who was subsequently detained and arrested for possessing two active Bexar County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) felony warrants related to drug possession.

Another individual present, Dewey Taylor, was involved in a transaction with McFerrin and attempted to flee on foot. After a brief pursuit, Taylor was apprehended.

McFerrin's vehicle was parked nearby in an apartment complex adjacent to the park. Upon searching the vehicle, deputies discovered 9.5 grams of methamphetamine, 85 grams of marijuana, a stolen handgun, various pieces of identifying information inside McFerrin's wallet, packaging bags, and $19,470.00 in US Currency.

The individuals involved were identified as follows:

  • Ervin McFerrin: Found in possession of multiple bags of methamphetamine, marijuana, and US Currency.
  • Roslyn MacGregor: Had two active BCSO felony warrants for drug possession.
  • Dewey Taylor: Charged with evading on foot, possession of controlled substance PG1, and tampering with evidence.
