27-year-old Mark Daniel Mallow was sentenced to 131 years in prison after being found guilty of 20 counts of possession of child pornography and of possession with intent to promote child pornography.
Judge Christine Del Prado of the 227th District Court Sentenced Mallow to six years in prison on each of the 20 counts of possession of child pornography. She sentenced Mallow to 11 years on the possession with intent to promote charge. Additionally, she accumulated the sentences, which means that they will run one after another.
In August of 2022, while a middle school teacher at the Judson School District, Mallow was arrested after he uploaded five files of child pornography to Snapchat. Snapchat noted the explicit nature of the material and reported it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which then reported Marrow to law enforcement.
In addition, while out on bond for these offenses, Mallow accrued two additional charges. In July of 2023, he was arrested again for another charge of possession with intent to promote child pornography and a charge of online solicitation of a minor under the age of 14. These charges remain pending.
