Father Dead and Daughter Critically Injured in Stone Oak Home Shooting

San Antonio Police responded to a distress call regarding a shooting incident at a residence located in the 900 block of Cheyenne Creek in the Stone Oak area around 9:45 am.

According to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus, upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim, aged 43, deceased from a gunshot wound. Additionally, a 23-year-old female, believed to be his daughter, sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

McManus further stated that the 50-year-old woman, identified as the wife of the deceased and the mother of the injured young woman, was unharmed and cooperating with authorities.

At present, no motive has been disclosed by the authorities. A firearm was recovered from the scene. McManus revealed that the police had prior familiarity with the residence, having responded to approximately four calls in recent years, primarily related to mental health issues and disturbances.

The investigation is ongoing.
