New Braunfels Police K-9 Uncovers $50,000 Worth of Narcotics

In the early morning hours of January 30, 2024, New Braunfels Police K-9 Sophie played a crucial role in uncovering a significant quantity of illegal narcotics during a routine traffic stop. At around 2:50 am, officers from the New Braunfels Police Department initiated the stop on a beige Dodge Grand Caravan located in the 4300 block of I-35 South.

Following the stop, a K-9 open air sniff of the vehicle revealed the presence of a substantial amount of illicit substances. The discovered narcotics included 276 grams of methamphetamine, 216 grams of fentanyl, and over 7 pounds of Xanax. The combined estimated street value of these seized drugs is nearly $50,000.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 31-year-old Joshua Charles Hahn from Houston, was promptly arrested and transported to the Comal County Jail. Hahn faces charges of two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (PG 1-B >=200g<400g). As of the latest information provided, bond for Hahn had not been set, and there is a possibility of additional charges pending against him.
