Major Drug Bust in Ingram: Kerr County Deputies Seize Marijuana, Mushrooms, and Meth

Thomas Paul Tucker

On January 22, 2024, the Kerr County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Division (SOD) conducted a search warrant in the 200 block of Childs Street in Ingram, Texas, following an investigation into a suspected drug overdose at the residence. Approximately seven-and-a-half pounds of suspected marijuana were discovered during the search, along with smaller amounts of psilocybin mushrooms, THC wax, and suspected methamphetamine.

Thomas Paul Tucker, 43, the homeowner, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, greater than five pounds but less than or equal to 50 pounds. Mr. Tucker was taken into custody and booked into the Kerr County Jail, with bond set at $60,000. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed in the case.

Sheriff Larry Leitha commended the investigators for their excellent work, stating, "Our investigators did an excellent job and produced more clear results in our drug-fighting efforts. This arrest and seizure may have prevented dozens of drug transactions in Kerr County. Removing this quantity and variety of drugs from circulation not only combats the drug trade but the many other criminal enterprises that often accompany such activity."
