Narcotics Operation Leads to Arrests of Two Individuals on Drug and Firearms Charges in Seguin

On January 10, 2024, at approximately 11:45 AM, the Guadalupe County Narcotics Taskforce, in collaboration with the Seguin PD C.A.S.E. Unit, carried out the arrest of 51-year-old David Gomez and 43-year-old James Wright, both residents of Seguin, Texas. The arrests were made in connection with drug and firearms-related charges during a narcotics operation.

The operation involved a traffic stop on New Braunfels St. and the execution of a search warrant in the 3400 block of Lindsey Ln, Seguin, Texas. Investigators successfully seized 344.8 grams of methamphetamine, 82 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of psilocybin, 5 grams of THC, and 8 firearms.

David Gomez faces charges including Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 over 200 grams (Meth), Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 between 4 and 200 grams (Cocaine), and 6 counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. James Wright was arrested for Possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 over 4 grams (meth).

Both individuals have been booked into the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center.
