On Wednesday, September 13th, around 7:20 p.m., officers from the Victoria Police Department swiftly responded to reports of a disturbance in the 2000 block of East Crestwood Drive. While en route to the scene, law enforcement received information about gunshots being fired. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a Hispanic male, later identified as 57-year-old Hector Gonzalez, on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. Immediate assistance was provided, and he was subsequently transported to a local hospital. Tragically, Mr. Gonzalez did not survive his injuries.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a verbal dispute had erupted between Mr. Gonzalez and a group of male individuals. Tragically, during this argument, Mr. Gonzalez was shot. The suspects quickly fled to a nearby residence.
With the collaborative efforts of the VPD K-9 Unit, U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force, and deputies from the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office, officers successfully apprehended two juvenile male suspects and one 17-year-old male.

Logan Robles, a 17-year-old resident of Victoria, faces the following charges:
- Murder – First Degree Felony
- Engaging In Organized Criminal Activity – First Degree Felony
This is an ongoing investigation. Victoria Police Department detectives are requesting assistance in identifying a male subject possibly related to this incident. He was last seen wearing a black hat, grey shirt with white text, black, white, and red athletic shorts, and red shoes.
