Applications Open for Kerrville’s Main Street Advisory Board

The City of Kerrville has announced that it is currently accepting applications for the Main Street Advisory Board. This board plays a crucial role in advising the mayor, city council, and other city bodies, while working towards the city's goals and objectives.

The Main Street Advisory Board's primary responsibility is to provide guidance and recommendations to local leadership. This includes aiding various city boards, commissions, and city staff to ensure alignment with the Kerrville 2050 Comprehensive Plan and other long-range plans endorsed by the city.

One of the key focuses of the board is to facilitate the achievement of the Texas Main Street Program's objectives. This program is dedicated to preserving and revitalizing the historic downtown area. The board acts as a driving force in encouraging merchants and building owners to reinvest in the downtown sector, fostering unity within the community.

Furthermore, the Main Street Advisory Board takes proactive measures to bring about positive transformations in the downtown area. This approach aims to guarantee the success of the Main Street Program. The board achieves this by identifying and marshaling resources, rallying volunteer support, nurturing new leadership, and maintaining a clear and unwavering focus on the needs and prospects of the downtown locality.

Residents who are interested in contributing to the enhancement and development of Kerrville's downtown landscape are encouraged to apply for positions on the Main Street Advisory Board.
