Gang-Related Shooting at San Antonio Convenience Store Leads to Multiple Arrests and Charges

Prince Boyd II

On November 9, 2025, around 3:45 p.m., Bexar County deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a convenience store in the 6200 block of Binz-Engleman Road. When deputies arrived, they found two vehicles riddled with bullet holes and evidence of a gunfight inside the store.

Witnesses said four men wearing black sweatshirts were involved. One of them, later identified as 24-year-old Gerrell Jacoi Jenkins, fled on foot and broke into a nearby home through a rear glass door while trying to escape. Deputies located Jenkins, who had multiple gunshot wounds, and he was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Surveillance footage showed Jenkins and 18-year-old Prince Anthony Boyd II exchanging gunfire inside the store. Both were struck during the shootout, which investigators believe was gang-related. Boyd later arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound and was also hospitalized.

Charges filed:

  • Gerrell Jenkins: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Deadly Conduct, Burglary of a Habitation, and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon in Prohibited Places

  • Prince Boyd II: Unlawful Carry of a Weapon in Prohibited Places

Authorities confirmed Jenkins is an active gang member. The investigation is ongoing as deputies work to identify additional suspects.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6000.
