San Antonio Police arrested 47-year-old Jamie Ray Rencher on December 31, 2024, for aggravated kidnapping with intent to sexually abuse after he allegedly tied up, sexually assaulted, and transported a woman.
Rencher reportedly used social media to target the victim, facilitating a meeting in the Houston area. Upon meeting, Rencher destroyed the victim’s cell phone and assaulted her. He then transported her to San Antonio, where he expressed his intention to keep her hidden, but the victim managed to seek help.
Police are investigating additional potential victims, as information uncovered during the investigation suggests there may be others who have yet to come forward. Rencher remains in the Bexar County Jail, with more charges pending.
