On January 2, 2025, the Seguin Police Department responded to a criminal mischief call in the 200 block of N. River St. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the "Wendy the Squirrel" statue, a memorial dedicated to the late Wendy Parker, had been vandalized. The statue, which was unveiled just two months ago, holds great sentimental value for the community, as it represents both Wendy Parker's memory and the town’s spirit of unity.
Surveillance footage captured images of the individuals involved. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Seguin Police Department at 830-379-2123.
