Methodist Hospital Texas Welcomes New Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Chamisa MacIndoe

Methodist Hospital Texas is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Chamisa MacIndoe as their Chief Medical Officer. Dr. MacIndoe, who most recently served as the Medical Director for the ICU and Neurocritical Care at UCHealth Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs and as Physician Advisor in Utilization Management for the UCHealth system, brings a wealth of experience to her new role.

With an extensive background in healthcare, Dr. MacIndoe has worked clinically as a neurointensivist and has held various leadership positions. She has served as the chair of hospital and system Quality and Clinical Governance groups, Peer Review, and Joint Operations. Her educational journey includes completing medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience, residency training in Emergency Medicine at the State University of New York-Buffalo, and a fellowship in Neurocritical Care at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. MacIndoe holds certifications in Health Care Quality Management and has completed her Master of Health Care Delivery Science at Dartmouth, which incorporates MBA/MHA coursework with an emphasis on the optimization of care delivery models. Her dedication and achievements in the field have earned her recognition as a "Top Doctor," quality/safety and collaboration medical staff awards from peers, and the local Business Journal’s “Women of Influence” award.

Esther Kwon, Chief Executive Officer at Methodist Hospital Texan, expressed confidence in Dr. MacIndoe, stating, “Dr. MacIndoe brings a collaborative, goal-oriented, and high-energy physician leadership style. Her strengths in programmatic development, team alignment, quality, and resource utilization will make a great addition to our team.”

Dr. MacIndoe is set to assume her new role with Methodist Hospital Texan on February 5, 2024.
