A woman is hospitalized after she was struck by a vehicle as she was walking across Bandera Road.
The incident happened at the 2200 block of Bandera Road at around 8:30 p.m.
Police say that she was walking on the sidewalk when a pack of dogs began to bark and lunge toward the woman. The woman backed away from the dogs and walked into the roadway where traffic was passing on Bandera Road. That’s when the woman was struck by an unknown white vehicle.
The white vehicle quickly fled the scene of the crash.
The woman was transported to University Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the white vehicle will be charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
