On Monday, April 3, 2023 at approximately 9:00 PM, Fredericksburg Police Officers responded an aggravated robbery at the Alon convenience store at 722 S. Washington St. Once on scene officers met with the on-duty clerk who said that a suspect entered the store and fired one round into a cooler at the back of the store. The suspect demanded money from the clerk who retrieved it from the cash drawer. The clerk was unharmed during the robbery.
During the investigation into the robbery, officers were able to review store surveillance video. The suspect was a male subject wearing a dark colored hooded long sleeve shirt or light weight jacket, dark colored ski mask, and gloves. The suspect arrived and left the store as the passenger in a dark colored SUV.
