Authorities are investigating a suspicious death on the far Northwest Side of town after a young man was discovered dead with apparent signs of trauma to his upper body.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning in the 10000 block of Escondida Road. Sheriff Javier Salazar confirmed that upon arrival, deputies found the lifeless body of the man, who displayed visible signs of injury.
The discovery was made by a resident driving down Escondida Road who noticed a tennis shoe in the distance. Upon closer inspection, officials reported finding the deceased individual approximately 20 to 30 feet off the roadway.
Sheriff Salazar has indicated that foul play is suspected, and investigators believe the victim may have been murdered and subsequently dumped at the location. The victim, identified only as a young man, had a significant tattoo on his back.
