San Marcos Police Department has provided an update on the missing person case involving 45-year-old Jacob Newhouse. Sadly, Newhouse was found deceased on Saturday, December 9. The police are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, but no foul play is suspected.
The case began when a family member reported Newhouse missing on Friday, December 1. According to the family member, Newhouse was last seen on Tuesday, November 28, leaving his residence on Escondido Circle in San Marcos. At that time, he left without his wallet, phone, vehicle, or keys. Concerns grew when he failed to show up at work on November 29.
Given additional information suggesting that Newhouse may have had intentions to harm himself, San Marcos Police had classified him as a Missing Person - Endangered.
