Two Arrested For Threatening Video Targeting Seguin High School

On November 9, 2023, the Seguin Police Department responded promptly to reports of a threatening video circulating on social media targeting Seguin High School. Working in collaboration with Seguin Independent School District (ISD) administrators, authorities undertook a comprehensive investigation into the concerning social media post.

The individuals featured in the video were identified as Isiah Heider, 18, and Franklin Naiper, 19, both residents of Seguin. Following a thorough inquiry, warrants were issued for Heider and Naiper, charging them with one count of Terroristic Threat. These warrants were issued by Judge William Old III, who set the bond at $100,000.

This evening, Heider and Naiper were taken into custody and subsequently transported to Guadalupe County Jail, where they were booked. To ensure the safety of students and staff, an increased law enforcement presence will be maintained on campus and in the surrounding area tomorrow as a precautionary measure.

The Seguin Police Department emphasizes the importance of vigilance in the community, urging students and citizens to adhere to the "See Something, Say Something" principle. Any conversations or social media posts that may compromise the safety of students and staff should be reported immediately.

The case remains under active investigation, with authorities committed to ensuring the safety and security of the school community.
